Xbox LIVE Dashboard Producer, Europe

Work Group’s Purpose

Xbox LIVE is the award-winning online entertainment service offered to existing and future Xbox owners. Services to 10 million LIVE members world-wide range from Community and comms services, Multiplayer gaming, Games on demand, Movie on demand and Music on demand.

Xbox LIVE is building a dedicated product/service team in Europe to support its triple-digit growth and accelerate the development of (a) the transactional business, (b) the subscription business, (c) the advertising business together with a level of editorial excellence, across 15 European countries.

Role Purpose

To play a fundamental part in developing and maintaining programming schedules, as well as contributing to the creation of entertainment content produced exclusively for Inside Xbox and Xbox LIVE.

Role Details

Working with the Xbox LIVE Editor, you'll coordinate with internal and external content partners to help generate engaging, fully localised video, podcasts and other mixed media content designed with the primary aim of keeping millions of Xbox LIVE members across Europe informed and entertained. In addition you will liaise with Xbox LIVE Marketing, supporting their objectives by formulating creative, effective and relevant Xbox LIVE programming and editorial.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate programming schedules and asset deliveries from internal and external partner
  • Use content management system to produce new content
  • Work closely with editorial and community teams to develop new content
  • Write and edit short articles
  • Coordinate localisation of all content types
  • Help identify potential new content partners and opportunities
  • Maintain production and archival processes
  • Enforce quality control


  • Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

    Essential Experience

  • Experience of web/new media producing experience at major media or publishing company, preferably working with localised content for a European audience
  • Excellent editorial judgment and subbing skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a short and long-term deadline-driven, fast-paced environment
  • Experience and knowledge of content management technology, design and production
  • Basic Photoshop and HTML knowledge
  • Proven ability to write/edit short articles
  • A team player with strong interpersonal skills
  • A passion for entertainment and new media technologies, reflected by a high level of knowledge of both fields
  • Highly organised, self-motivated and resourceful
  • Qualifications

  • Degree in journalism, communications, broadcasting or related discipline strongly preferred
  • Desirable Experience

  • Fluency in one or more key European languages, preferably French, German, Spanish and/or Italian
  • Ability to work with video editing and encoding packages, e.g. Adobe Premiere
