My client is a leading publisher of free online games through a cutting edge gaming portal. They are currently looking for a Head of Marketing to manage their dynamic multi-national marketing team who are responsible for marketing our games across EMEA.
The position is based in Dublin, Ireland.
The role covers a broad and interesting spectrum of activities including, strategy, market research and analysis, web and print advertising, email communications, viral marketing and social media initiatives and occasional event management at industry events. The role requires someone with experience managing and optimizing search marketing campaigns (Yahoo, MSN, Google), CPC campaigns and the ideal candidate will have experience with both affiliate platforms and CPA campaigns.
The ideal candidate should be comfortable with managing a medium sized multi-cultural team, have extensive experience in offline and online marketing strategies, preparing marketing plans, managing budgets, online advertising platforms and social media websites. The ideal candidate will have a background in the computer games, music or film industry with a passion for the marketing of computer games or other digital products to a diverse European audience.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in marketing or business, and 7 years+ related experience
- 5 years+ experience in online marketing
- Excellent understanding of the online creative production and delivery process
- Excellent knowledge and experience of web 2.0 / social media
- Experience in the games industry would be a big advantage, especially MMORPG and/or the Free-to-Play business model
- Experience in ROI/UK based marketing techniques
- Self-motivated, highly communicative person with a strong leadership personality
- Strong analytical and creative skills
- Needs to have a grasp on the current lifestyle of 15 - 30 year olds
- Advanced English Language skills, fluency in other languages would be a big plus (German in particular)

National Account Manager – TECMO KOEI EUROPE

Reporting to the European VP, you will be responsible for managing and growing key accounts with existing retail partners, as well as identifying and breaking into new areas of commercial interest for the business. You will be able to call upon your contacts and experience of the entertainment industry to advise and lead strategy and budgetary spend as well as forecasting, reporting and planning in order to ensure targets and goals are set and achieved.
Key skills/experience
- Ideally coming from a similar role within a successful video games publisher/distributor
- Ability to operate at a senior level with the retail and entertainment markets
- Proven account management background with demonstrable track record of successfully managing and developing relationships and profitability of client relationships
- Passion for games and a knowledge of the Tecmo Koei product set
- Willingness to go after new opportunities where possible (not a major part of the role but a definite plus)
- Able and willing to effectively and accurately report, forecast and set strategy

You will be lead the product management team within the software division and oversee all software marketing plans across a variety of hardware platforms as well as working closely with the Marketing Manager to ensure that the software marketing plan is in line with overall brand strategy.

Marketing Manager to develop marketing strategies to launch and grow online gaming businesses. You will bring to the market high-profile, next generation online gaming products, managing their release and ongoing customer acquisition and retention. Interact closely with go-to-market partners to drive maximum consumer awareness.
You remit will be to manage the entire marketing life cycle of products from strategic planning to tactical activities. Create marketing plans and develop marketing budget, conduct consumer and competitive research. In addition you will develop sales forecasts based on historical data, market conditions and trend analysis. Finally you will analyse data and consumer behaviour to determine pricing strategies.
A minimum of three years consumer marketing experience and education to degree level. Strong analytical skills and proven ability to manage complex projects and deadlines. Most importantly you should have a passion for gaming. This role will involve travel as required.
