Experienced Game Programmer
East Coast - $DOE + Benefits and Bonuses

Our client is a development studio which was founded back in 1998 by industry veterans that take pride in making high quality games. They first game published in October 2001 has sold over 4 million units worldwide. They are looking for highly talented and experienced game programmers to join in the development of their current and future products. Applicants should have an avid passion for games and game development, top-notch coding skills, and an excellent work ethic. Requirements: BS/MS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience - A minimum of 3 years of C++ development experience in the games industry - A minimum of 2 published titles - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Very strong research, analytic, and problem-solving skills - Good working knowledge of common software design and engineering practices - Ability to work effectively both in teams and individually.

Senior Level Software Engineer
Chicago, IL - up to $100k DOE

This company has been around for more than a decade, and is one of the few full service entertainment content providers left in the gaming world, creating games from concept to conclusion. It has developed games for some of the industry's best known publishers, using state of the art development tools to create titles for multiple platforms. Our client is looking for a senior level software engineer with at least 2 published titles and at least 2 years of games industry experience. Candidates should have at 4-year degree in Computer Science of equivalent and knowledge in at least one of the following: Physics, Maths, AI, 3D Graphics, UI, Sound. Your major responsibilities and duties would include, assisting with conceptualization, analysis and design of project; writing tools and functional, commercial quality code for projects. You will need to maintain awareness of current and future state of computer science and video games. They are looking for an experienced programmer to work on an exciting new multi-platform online and offline multi-player title. This title will be ground-breaking in its genre, and they are looking for someone who can consistently deliver excellent quality work to help achieve their vision. Game Programmer

They have spend over a decade developing original gaming content for both console and PC platforms. They are looking for an excellent and games industry experienced programmer. Candidates must have experience in C and C++, as all programming will be done in C, C++, Assembly, under Windows platform. Knowledge of Win32 and Direct X is also a must. Responsibilities include: -Participation in program conception and architecture -Coding, maintenance and debugging of all game elements. -Design, specification and coding of utilities necessary to the development of the game. -Tools programming. -Reasonable documentation of the game code or associated utilities. -Maintenance and archival of backups of various versions of source code, art and other data used in the development process. -Interact with other programmers, artists, designers, producers and others as necessary during game development.

Console Programmers

They are looking for candidates with the following skills and experiences: -Minimum 3 years' console game development experience, with at least one published title -Strong C++ skills (essential) -Previous experience on PS2 platform (essential) -Degree in computer science, physics, math, or engineering preferred (essential) -Strong knowledge of OO architecture -Ability to communicate and contribute to architecture-driven design -Previous experience with Renderware or other commercial engine a plus. -Good communication skills -Able to work and play well with others -French is helpful, but not necessary.

Senior Graphics Programmer

Senior Networking Engineer

Candidates must have played a significant role in the development of the networking layer in that MMOG.

Lead Software Engineer
Texas - $70k-$100k DOE

They are looking for someone with at least 4 years of industry experience and at least 2 shipped titles as a Lead Software Engineer. Candidates must have hands-on approach to management and be a team player.

Network Programmer
California - $HighDOE

They are looking for someone with experience in programming network protocols for PC and console games. Both client/server and peer to peer experience is preferred. You will take care of designing multiplayer, both low and high level, components and implement them into the game.

Tools Programmer
California - $HighDOE

You will be the sole tools programmer in the company and support the current tool pipeline and plan for the future by adding new functionality. Experience in writing plugins for Maya or Max required, writing MEL scripts, designing and implementing asset management systems, designing user interface which will maximize workflow, use of scripting languages such as Python or Perl, use of various operating systems including Windows and Linux. They are looking for someone who is an excellent all-rounder for this position with at least some low-level knowledge and experience.

Senior Programmers (3-5)

Creative Director

Our client is looking for someone with previous experience either as an art director or creative director in the games industry. You will be responsible for designing and communicating the artistic vision of their games and working alongside design and programming teams to design, refine and maintain game art style. You will lead the art team to achieve project goals and manage internal and external resources in all aspects of the development process. You will take scenes and models produced by background artists and foreground modelers and texture them using concept art as reference. They are looking for someone who will take concept art and level design and turn it into 3D scenes that are both stunningly beautiful and fun to interact in. You will be assembling these scenes, using both instanced and non-instanced geometry, by adding your own personal sense of composition to 2D level layout maps and concept sketches given to you. They are looking for artist who will be building, animating and texture mapping professional quality 3D models, characters and environments. Some duties will include: drawing, sketching, storyboarding, laying out user interfaces, testing and tweaking final results in the game/project. Candidates should have previous experience with 3DS Max, Character Studio and Photoshop along with traditional drawing and sketching skills. Animators must be able to animate characters; modelers must be able to build and texture both high-poly and low-poly 3D environments and characters. Animator

They are looking for someone with the following animation qualifications: 4+ years animating for games, At least 2 published titles as an animator, Demo reel showcasing animation, Expertise using 3DSMax and Character Studio (including rigging experience). You should also have the following general qualifications: 4+ years experience in games industry, 2+ years working on the PS2/Xbox and/or GameCube, At least 3 published titles (at least 1 being on console), Expertise using Photoshop, Familiarity with real-time modeling and texturing.
